With its unrivalled ability to transport people and their luggage in complete comfort, the Caravelle offers the perfect combination of style and functionality. With room for up to seven people and vast amounts of luggage space, the Caravelle has become the default choice for thousands of buyers, from large families who don’t want to compromise on space, to commercial operators who demand luxury and adaptability.

A Caravelle model to suit all needs

Available in three trim levels: SE, Executive and Business, and with two wheelbase options, the current Caravelle joined the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles line-up in 2010. Introducing the same bold design language as Volkswagen’s acclaimed passenger car range, the current model offers a host of improvements over previous models, with features such as daytime running lights; the latest Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) and optional Lane Change Assist that alerts the driver to any other traffic in or approaching the driver’s blind spot.

Powerful and refined

Power comes from Volkswagen’s four-cylinder, 2.0-litre, common-rail diesel engine, offered as a 140PS TDI or a twin-turbo 180PS BiTDI. The engine is quiet and refined, and exceeds EURO5-compliant emissions.

Further optional features include Volkswagen’s seven-speed DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox) and 4MOTION all-wheel drive for both specifications.

Ultra-adaptable interior

Key to the Caravelle’s versatility are the rails integrated into the floor that enable the second and third rows of seats, plus the multifunction table, to be repositioned for optimum luggage space or legroom. In addition, the two individual seats in the middle row can rotate to face the rear bench, creating a sociable lounge environment. Sliding doors on both sides provide ample access for passengers and larger loads if needed.

A bed for the night

An optional Sleep Pack can turn the Caravelle into a campervan by providing a bed extension for the rear seats and additional blinds for the windows. A parking heater with timer, remote control and its own battery is also available to keep the Caravelle’s interior warm when the engine is switched off.

The Caravelle is the flagship model in Volkswagen’s people carrier line-up. Available from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ nationwide network of Van Centres, it sits alongside the five- and six-seat Caddy Kombi; Transporter and Crafter vans, seven-seat Caddy Maxi Life; Transporter shuttle, Transporter window van and Crafter window van.
