VOLKSWAGEN E-UP! GETS £3,250 VALUE BOOST
Nov 27, 2018
- All-electric e-up! now from £23,115 (RRP OTR exc. PICG)
- Additional equipment makes the electric up! even better value
- Updated interior features include stylish new seat trim design
Milton Keynes – Volkswagen’s smallest electric car, the e-up!, is now even bigger value with a host of updates bringing more equipment and a price revision offering four-figure savings.
The e-up! city car now benefits from more standard-fit equipment including height adjustment for the driver’s seat. A rear-view camera is also built-in to give owners the reassurance of parking in tight urban spaces without worry while, on the inside, a stylish new seat trim design provides extra flair.
The addition of this big-car technology demonstrates Volkswagen’s commitment to providing the best value electric vehicles to customers, a commitment amplified by the car’s new price of £23,115 RRP OTR1 or £19,615 RRP OTR including the Government Plug-In Car Grant – a saving of £2,935 over the car’s previous list price, and an overall saving of £3,250 with the additional equipment factored in.
Volkswagen UK Electric Vehicles Product Manager Joe Laurence, said: “The e-up! is a key part of our electric vehicle family, offering the ideal solution for zero tailpipe-emission urban motoring.
“For 2019, we’re offering customers even more value with the addition of several extra features to the e-up! as standard, as well as a major price realignment making the car even more affordable. This is, of course, on top of the tax and fuel cost savings which are built into the e-up!.”
As before, the e-up! uses a 374 volt, 18.7 kWh battery pack to give a WLTP-rated range of 83 miles, and consumption of just 11.7 kWh/62 miles combined. A full charge takes nine hours from a standard three-pin plug, or six hours from a 3.6 kWh wall box. A rapid charge point can provide 80 per cent capacity in just 30 minutes.
The updated e-up! is now available to order from across the Volkswagen UK Retailer network with the Government’s £3,500 Plug-In Car Grant also applicable to the zero-emission city car.
