  • Pete Janes takes on new position of Fleet Aftersales Manager
  • New role recognises aftersales as essential to providing first-class service
  • Katie Benson welcomed as new Fleet Development Manager

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has strengthened its fleet team with two newly appointed roles. Pete Janes joins as the brand’s first Fleet Aftersales Manager, while Katie Benson will become the first Fleet Development Manager.

Pete takes up the new role of Fleet Aftersales Manager, created to ensure an absolute focus  on the full end-to-end fleet ownership experience. Encompassing Customer Quality Management and Service Department Management, the role represents a critical shift for the brand as it continues to focus on implementing a partnership ethos with its customers at every stage of its operations.

Pete joins Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles from ARI Fleet UK as its Supplier Network Development Manager. Prior to this, he worked at All Fleet Services and Hitachi Capital Commercial Services. He brings with him a raft of valuable experience, having worked across a range of very customer-focused environments.

Pete Janes, Fleet Aftersales Manager, said: “I’m excited to be joining the team as the brand’s first ever Fleet Aftersales Manager. Aftersales is a crucial element of the fleet strategy so I look forward to taking on this new challenge, getting out and meeting customers and demonstrating the comprehensive fleet support package that Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles offers.”

Katie Benson has also taken on a new role as Fleet Development Manager. Having worked as Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ People Development Manager for the past two years, her main responsibility will now be to develop standalone fleet and business initiatives in order to drive increased sales of vehicles and services to the business community.

Katie said: “I am delighted to take up the position of Fleet Development Manager. I look forward to continuing to develop our sales and service strategies so that we can deliver on our mission to be a trusted partner to our business customers.”

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has worked hard to develop an outstanding Van Centre network that delivers a dedicated service to fleet and retail customers across the UK. In the last 12 months alone the brand has piloted a number of initiatives that are now being adopted by the network, all aimed at improving service for fleet customers.

Extended Opening Hours, Mobile Servicing and a renewed focus on building its network of 72 dedicated Van Centres and a further 26 Authorised Repairers, makes Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles better placed than ever to cater for every fleet customer.
